Mary Louise Bassingthwaite, 41, of the 4400 block of Sir Johns Lane, died April 30, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Bassingthwaite was born in San Antonio, Texas, and was a sales representative for J.C. Penney Military Mall Men's Suit Dept.
Survivors include husband, Steve Allen Bassingthwaite; one daughter, Kimberly Sherman of Norfolk; two sons, Richard Brent Merrell of Big Sandy, Tenn., and Timothy Allen Bassingthwaite of Virginia Beach; mother, Jessie L. Scott of Big Sandy, Tenn.; five sisters, Ruth Moore of West Plain, Mo., Nancy Heathcott of Big Sandy, Tenn., Virginia Popham of Alabama, Cindy Williams of Gleason, Tenn., and Margaret Greenwood of Clarksville, Tenn.; and two brothers, Manuel Gonzales of Boca Ratton, Fla., and William Perry of Latham, Tenn.
The funeral will be conducted today at 11 a.m. by Chaplain Ann Krekelberg in Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel. Burial will be private. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is in charge.
