Several words were missing from Monday's front-page story about

President Clinton's trade ban with Iran. Here is the complete

paragraph:

The action, which White House officials concede could cost

thousands of American jobs and cause a slight short-term increase in

fuel prices, deprives U.S. companies and their subsidiaries of the

lucrative Iranian oil market. It also will eliminate U.S. exports

there, which totaled $326 million in 1994.

A motorcyclist injured in a head-on collision with a pickup truck

Sunday was flown by air ambulance to the trauma center at Virginia

Beach General Hospital. A Metro brief Monday had the wrong

hospital.
