Burglars broke into Lynnhaven Middle School over the weekend and stole an estimated $70,000 in computer equipment.
Police spokesman Mike Carey said the thieves also broke windows and sprayed the contents of fire extinguishers inside the school. Carey said police have no suspects.
Assistant Superintendent Anne Meek said the spray was cleaned up and the windows were replaced Monday.
``The vandalism was minor, but the theft was serious,'' Meek said.
Some technology classes had to be canceled, she said.
