Frances M. Strickland, 79, of the 5700 block of Hawthorne Lane, died May 1, 1995, in Portsmouth.
Mrs. Strickland was born in South Boston, Va. She was the widow of William L. Strickland Sr.
Survivors include her two daughters, Lottie H. Morgan of Chesapeake and Patsy H. Mullins of Portsmouth; a son, William L. Strickland Jr. of Portsmouth; two sisters, Kathleen Puryear and Mary Alice Lipford, both of South Boston, Va.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 1995 in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, by the Rev. Terry L. Riddle. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m.
