Dr. Oliver H. Bricker III, 50, a local veterinarian in Virginia Beach, died on May 1, 1995, in DePaul Medical Center.
He was born in Aurora, Ill., and practiced medicine in Virginia since 1979. He was a graduate of Windham College in Putney, Vt., and received his doctorate at the University of Guadalajara in Mexico. Dr. Bricker opened the Abbey Animal Hospital as sole practitioner in 1980. He was a member of the American Animal Hospital Association. He was an avid sailboard enthusiast and member of the Tidewater Windsurfing Association.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughter, Abby; and son, Garrett, all of Virginia Beach; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Oliver H. Bricker Jr. of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and two brothers, Charles and Arthur Bricker.
A chapel service will be conducted today at 5 p.m. in Lynnhaven Methodist Church, Little Neck Road, with a private viewing for friends and family from 4 to 5 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach S.P.C.A. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is in charge.
