Essie M. Morrison, 60, of the 9000 block of Magnum Lane, died April 30, 1995, in Emporia, Va.
She was born in Cora Peak, N.C. She was predeceased by her mother, Lucy L. Knight.
Survivors include one daughter, Jacqueline Morrison of Jarratt, Va.; one son, Melvin Riliey of Alexandria; father, Ernest Parker of Norfolk; stepmother, Ethel Parker of Norfolk; two brothers, Leroy Parker of Suffolk and Charlie Parker of Norfolk; four grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and a sister-in-law, Shelia Parker of Norfolk.
The funeral will be conducted Friday, May 5, 1995, at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Dwight Steele in Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 6600 Chesapeake Blvd., Apt. M4 at 12:15 p.m. for the processional to the church.
