Helen Ruth Elks, 87, died Tuesday, May 2, 1995, in Beaufort County Nursing Home.
She is survived by daughters, Doddie Elks Singleton of Washington, N.C., and Mary Elks Buck of Chesapeake; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Proctor Memorial Christian Church, Grimesland. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Greenville, N.C. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Wilkerson Funeral Home, Greenville, N.C., and at other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. B.E. Singleton Jr., 123 Tar Heel Drive, Washington, N.C.
