J.H. HERRINGTON

J.H. ``Jack'' Herrington, 80, of the 1200 block of Waterfront Dr., Virginia Beach and formerly of the 200 block of Ethel Ave., died May 2, 1995.

Mr. Herrington was born in Sweetwater, Texas, and was retired from Lonestar Inc. He was the widower of Virginia S. Herrington and a member of Episcopal Church of the Ascension. He was also retired from the Navy after 24 years and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Association, the American Legion, and the U.S.S. Nevada Association.

Survivors include one niece, Betty Jean Sawyer of Norfolk; also, Maria Jones of Virginia Beach and Me-C Jones of Virginia Beach.

The funeral will be conducted Thursday, May 4, 1995, at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. David F. Lassalle in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends in the funeral home tonight from 7 to 8 p.m.
