WRONG DREAM

In a recent letter to the editor, C. R. Ange described a troubling dream in which he watched ``the BATF and FBI burn a building'' in Waco, Texas, while the Clintons and Janet Reno looked on in approval.

It is a shame that Mr. Ange is tormented by this nightmare, but he should find comfort in the fact that in real life it never happened that way. In truth, dangerous madman David Koresh and his Branch Davidians - who had started the siege by shooting and killing a government agent - ended the standoff by dousing their compound with kerosene and setting fire to it themselves, with their children still stashed in the cellar.

It's still not a pretty thing to remember, but at least C. R. Ange might be able to get over his delusions about the U.S. government killing people. Mr. Ange should sleep easy.
