NICHOLAS YELLIS

Nicholas Yellis, 58, of Lynchburg, Va., and originally of Cleveland, Ohio, died suddenly Tuesday, of complications from heart surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on June 8, 1936, he graduated from West Tech High School in 1954. While living in Cleveland, he was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church and was active in the FROC. He also was a member of Denbrook DeMolay and was a past Master Counselor. He was employed at Wynns Precision in Lynchburg. Nicholas enjoyed cooking, gardening and photography. He also enjoyed bowling, softball and volleyball.

He is survived by his daughter, Natalie Ann Yellis-Kraus, son-in-law, Brian and grandson, Cameron Kraus of Layton, Utah; son, Nicholas Gregory of Virginia Beach and daughter, Cassandra Suzanne of Layton, Utah; sister, Alexandra ``Sandy'' Shea of Olmsted Falls, Ohio; and niece, Tamara Kerr and nephews, Thomas, Michael and Daniel Shea.

Mallchok Funeral Home of Parma, Ohio, is handling funeral arrangements.
