Alethia Mae Hayes of the 2700 block of Gilmerton Road, died Monday, May 1, 1995, in her home among her loving children.
Mrs. Hayes, a native of Norfolk, was a registered nurse and assistant teacher.
Survivors include her husband, William R. Hayes; five daughters, Phyllis Kimble, Priscilla Swain, Paulette Fields, Pamela Raspberry of Fort Hood, Texas, Patsy Fulton of San Diego, Calif.; two sons, James H. Parker and William R. Parker; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three sons-in-law, William ``Butch'' Swain, Anthony Fields, Edward Fulton; one daughter-in-law, Mary Parker; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2000 Myers Road, Chesapeake, with Mr. Andrew Hower officiating. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, on Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at 2713 Gilmerton Road, Chesapeake, on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. for the processional to Kingdom Hall.
