Joseph Gatewood, 38, of the 1900 block of Greenleaf Drive, a laborer, died Tuesday, May 2, 1995, in Norfolk.
He was born in Norfolk.
Survivors include his mother, Louise E. Gatewood of Chesapeake; four sisters, Carolyn Hudgins of Fayetteville, N.C., Jacqueline Merrill, Debra Smith, Diane McLean, all of Chesapeake; four nieces, four nephews and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, by the Rev. Jospeh Lassiter. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 94 Grady Crescent, Chesapeake, at noon Friday for the processional to the funeral home.
