Humphrey Willie McCoy, 75, of the 2500 block of Ruffin St., died May 1, 1995, in Norfolk Community Hospital.
He was a native of Norfolk and was the son of the late Edward F. and Ruth Wilson McCoy. He was an employee of the Naval Public Works Center, and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and its Men's Club. He was a proud man with character and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include five sisters, Ruth B. McCoy, Mary Frances Goffigan, both of Norfolk, Cordelia E. Williams and Hattie V. Ambrose, both of Virginia Beach, and Angelia R. Brice of Washington, D.C.; one brother, George B. McCoy of Norfolk; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Grace Episcopal Church, 1400 Brambleton Ave., Norfolk, by the Rev. Father Harold Cobb. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be taken to the residence for visitation this morning. He will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Riddick Funeral Service is handling the arrangements.
