Paul Joseph Barilla, 75, of the 900 block of Edwin Drive, died May 4, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Barilla was born in Swoyersville, Pa., and was retired from civil service as a base police officer. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 28 and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, having served as a sergeant.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Theresa Barilla; four daughters, Christine Scotece of Columbia, S.C., Margaret Anne Hill of Virginia Beach, Kathleen Patricia Miller of Belleville, Ill., and Marie Elaine Milligan of Norfolk; two sons, Paul J. Barilla of Chicago and Robert Stephen Barilla of Norfolk; a sister, Marion Yamrus of Pennsylvania; three brothers, John Barilla of Swoyersville, George Barilla of Pittsburgh and Joseph Barilla of Michigan, Pa.; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Church of Ascension Catholic Church by Father James Parke. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. today in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, where the family will receive friends until 8 p.m.
