Darryl McCoy Sr. of the 8500 block of Chesapeake Blvd., died May 3, 1995.
He was born in Norfolk and was a member of Gerretts Community Church. He was a manager with Captain D Restaurant and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Candrell McCoy of Fayetteville, N.C.; a daughter, Amanda McCoy and two sons, Cornelius McCoy and Darryl McCoy Jr., all of Fayetteville; his mother, Barbara J. Cooper of Virginia Beach; his father, Allen McCoy of Ohio; three sisters, Karen McCoy, Janie McCoy and Kim Cooper, all of Norfolk; a brother, Kelvin McCoy of Virginia Beach; stepfather, Joseph Cooper of Norfolk; aunts, Emma Brown and Gerda Felton, both of New Jersey; three uncles, Slyvester Felton, Larry Felton and Marvin Felton, all of Virginia Beach; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will assemble at 5751 West Hasting Arch. Viewing will be Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Personal photo
