Edward William Plumley, 56, of the 4700 block of Valley Forge Lane, died May 5, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Plumley was born in Pulto, W.Va., and was retired from civil service at Fort Monroe. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had worked at Western Termite and Pest Control for 17 years before working at Fort Monroe. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Carole S. Plumley; a daughter, Susan M. Krill of Virginia Beach; three sons, James Edward Plumley and Edward William Plumley Jr., both of Virginia Beach, and Ronald Earl Plumley of Suffolk; two sisters, Becky Meadows and Phyllis Meadows, both of Ghent, W.Va.; a half brother, Richard Meadows of Crestview, Fla.; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Bertha Plumley Meadows and Bernard Meadows, and by a grandson, Timothy James.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by Dr. Kelly J. Burris. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
