Frances Lee Hanbury, 89, of the Hermitage Home in Richmond, died May 5, 1995.
Miss Hanbury was a native and a longtime resident of Norfolk. She was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church. She had retired as a teacher from the Norfolk Public Schools System after 43 years.
She was a graduate of Madison University and its Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society.
Survivors include four cousins, Gladys Eason of Camden, NC, Evelyn Sharber, Josephine Sharber both of Elizabeth City, and Betty H. Woolwine of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, May 8, 1995, at 2:30 P.M. in the Cox Funeral Home Chapel, Norfolk, by Rev. Francis Collins. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will gather at the funeral home one hour before service time on Monday to greet friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the Park Place United Methodist Church.
