Alice O'Neill Jackson, 87, died at home May 4, 1995.
Mrs. Jackson was born in Washington, D.C., and lived in Norfolk, Va., for 67 years. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Duval Carlton Jackson, and her grandson, David C. Jackson.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her children: Ann J. Wunnenberg, Wellington, Ut.; Carol J. Powell, Richmond, Va.; David C. Jackson, Daytona Beach, Fl.; and Samuel L. Jackson, Virginia Beach, Va. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Jackson, a life-long Roman Catholic, was a member of the Christ the King Catholic Church for fifty-six years. She was also a member of the Altar Guild, the Ladies Sodality, a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of BPO Elks Norfolk Lodge 38, Lafayette Shores Garden Club and Lafayette-Winona Civic League.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 8, in the Christ the King Catholic Church by Father Joseph Lehman and assisted by Father Richard Guest. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 7.
