Helen Marian Gaither, 73, of the 1100 block of Reel St., died May 5, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Gaither was born in Clark, Pa. She retired from Norfolk Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union and was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church of Norfolk. She was a graduate of Sharon High School class of 1939.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Franklin Gaither; a daughter, Delia Schreffler of Lisbon, Ohio; three sons, John W. Gaither of Vance, S.C., David A. Mangun of Staunton, Va., and William P. Gaither of Youngstown, Ohio; a brother, Howard G. Schaller of Indianapolis, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Frances Eubank, and a son, John H. Haller.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel. Burial will be private at a later date. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 1051 Kempsville Road, Norfolk, Va.
