Bertha Virginia Jones, 62, of the 2800 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., a homemaker, died May 5, 1995, in DePaul Hospital.
Mrs. Jones was born in Norfolk. She was a member of Guiding Light Apostolic Church, Ester Circle and the Missionary Circle and was the widow of Miller Richard Jones.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Marie Jones of Chesapeake; four sons, Phillip L. Jones, Eric A. Jones and Thomas R. Jones, all of Norfolk, and Darrell L. Jones Sr. of Virginia Beach; five sisters, Hattie Wiggins of New York, Ethel Coston of Norfolk, Beatrice Webb of Knoxville, Tenn., and Hazel Beamon and Sarah Coston, both of Virginia Beach; three brothers, James Moore of Virginia Beach and William Coston and Robert Coston of Federal Way, Wash.; four granddaughters, Darlene Esqueda of Tacoma, Wash., Chondra Smith, Perish Williams and Shanae Jones of Norfolk; grandsons, Darrell L. Jones, Jr., Phillip Hollimon and Ray Jones of Norfolk, Travis Jackson of Portsmouth; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday at Guiding Light Apostolic Church, 115 Cavalier Blvd., Portsmouth, by Elder A. Spellman. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
