Rescue workers found a body Saturday afternoon after a passerby spotted something floating in the Elizabeth River.
The discovery, just off the first block of Rader Street, was reported at 4:18 p.m.
Police said they were unable to identify the person, a man, and the cause of his death was not clear. The body was sent to the State Medical Examiner's office for examination.
