Services for Mary E. Smith, 92, of Norfolk, formerly of Brushy Fork Road, S.E., Newark, Ohio, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home with Chuck Horsley and Donald Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith died early Saturday morning, May 6, 1995 at the Sentara Nursing Center, Virginia Beach, Va. She was born on March 26, 1903 in the Brushy Fork area to the late James M. and Laura W. (Lehman) Lake. Her husband, Artie B. Smith, preceded her in death on August 6, 1980.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Viola Grace and William McDonald of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Laura (McDonald) Miller of Virginia Beach and Gary McDonald of Fort Campbell, Hopkinsville, Ky.; also six great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She is the last of her immediate family. Three brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Old Stone Church of Christ or to a favorite charity.
