Pennie Baxter Bernard, of the 100 block of Lincoln Road, died May 5, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mrs. Bernard was born in Powells Point, N.C. She was a member of Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, Powells Point, N.C.
Survivors include her husband, Enoch K. Bernard of Chesapeake; three sons, Enoch K. Bernard Jr., William E. Bernard and Paul L. Bernard of Chesapeake; five sisters, Sadie Gallop, Norma Hall and Erlene Lea of North Carolina and Charlene Patterson of Norfolk and Dollie Johnson of Portsmouth; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many other survivors and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church, Crestwood, by the Rev. Willie Lee Samuels. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Fitchett Funeral Home in charge.
