Althea Webb Etheridge Bendall, 85, a retired tailor, died May 7, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Bendall was born in Edenton, N.C. She had retired from Rices-Nachmans and Smith & Welton Department Stores. She was the widow of Ben B. Bendall and a member of Brentwood Baptist Church. She was formerly an active member in Park Place and Bayview Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the choir.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Winifred Webb Bennett of Virginia Beach; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Brentwood Baptist Church by the Rev. John D. Sykes Sr. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Brentwood Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
