A Norfolk man who had a seizure while driving Sunday struck three other vehicles and a house, injuring three people.
The accident, which occurred about 6 p.m. near Bayview, caused about $20,000 in damage, police said.
Don Gerloff, 44, was traveling north in the 8500 block of Granby St. when he had a seizure and his Oldsmobile hit a Plymouth van driven by Raymond Inman, 67, police said.
The Oldsmobile continued north, striking a Ford Escort, which then hit a utility pole, police spokesman Larry Hill said.
Gerloff's car then struck another car before leaving the road and smashing into the front porch of a home.
Gerloff was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he was treated for for bruises and contusions, Hill said. The driver of the Escort, Dan Burns, 36, and a passenger, Ross Campbell, 37, also suffered bruises and were taken to Sentara Norfolk General, Hill said.
The accident is under investigation, Hill said.
