Tony Snow's column, ``Teach Clinton how to mourn'' (Perspectives, April 30), reminded me of something my government teacher told my class the week after the Oklahoma City bombing.
Following this tragedy, President Clinton declared a national day of mourning. There was once a time when the president would declare a national day of prayer as well as mourning following an event such as this.
I suppose this just shows how we are moving farther away from God. Our leader does not even ask us to go to God on behalf of our nation any longer.
