JAMES WILSON

James Wilson, 65, of 1549 N. Muddy Creek Road, died Saturday, May 6, 1995, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.

He was the widower of Doris Brotherton Wilson, and was a native of Hoboken, N.J. In April 1985, he retired after 22 years with the Planning Department at the City of Virginia Beach as a Grant Specialist. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by one son and his wife, John D. and Rosemarie Wilson of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada; and one grandson, Robert Carl.

A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, May 10th, at 2 p.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Richard J. Yates. The family will receive friends in the Maestas Funeral Home Baltic Avenue Chapel tonight from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Building Fund, P.O. Box 945, Virginia Beach, 23451. After the service, friends are invited to join the family at the residence for refreshments. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
