Madell J. Morgan, 93, of the 5900 block of Poplar Hall Drive, a self-employed seamstress, died May 7, 1995, in a nursing home.
Mrs. Morgan was born in Philadelphia and was the widow of Eugene P. Morgan. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Norfolk and the Norfolk Federation of Colored Women's Club. She was a graduate of Kittrell College in North Carolina.
Survivors include one niece, Lera Madell Sprague Penix and husband, Warren Penix; one nephew, Bobby Sprague of Washington, D.C.; a nephew-in-law, Thomas Bowden and niece-in-law, Vanetta M. Quinerly, both of Norfolk; and a god-child, Anita D. Boyd of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Grace Episcopal Church by Father Harold Cobb. Burial will be in West Point. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
