NANCY D. MCCONN

Nancy D. McConn of the 2400 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., a retired self-employed musician, died May 7, 1995, in DePaul Medical Center.

Mrs. McConn was born in Norfolk and was the widow of Arthur McConn. She was a member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, Pastor's Aid, and was organist for Queen Street Baptist Church and others for many years. She was also a member of United Order of Tents Lane Jewels (NU)515 and Eureka Women's Auxiliary.

Survivors include three daughters, Theodocia P. Fentress, Myrana O. Brown, both of Norfolk, and Precious J. Patterson of Alexandria, Va.; a son, William E. Patterson of Norfolk; a devoted father to her children, Theodore Patterson of Connecticut; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Merkey Fentress of Norfolk. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise K. and Samuel Davis.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, Indian River Road, Chesapeake, by the Rev. James Edwards 3rd. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will assemble at 2900 Lens Ave. The body will be placed in church at 11 a.m. Friday. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
