CORRECTIONS
W.C. Baker, president of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, will be a
featured speaker at the 75th annual meeting of the Garden Club of
Virginia at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Duane Harding, WTKR-TV meteorologist,
will speak Thursday at 11 a.m. The meeting will be in the ballroom
of the Norfolk Waterside Marriott Hotel, and the lectures are free
and open to the public. The number of years the club has been
meeting and the times for speakers were incorrect in an item Sunday.
An Associated Press story Monday about Ron Kirk, the first
African American to be elected mayor of Dallas, failed to fully
identify two other mayoral candidates, lawyer Darrell Jordan and
Councilman Domingo Garcia.
