Beverley Barr Hainer, 60, of Virginia Beach, died May 9, 1995, at her home Tuesday morning.
A life-long resident of Virginia Beach, Mrs. Hainer was a board member of Ohef Shalom Temple, a past president of The Temple Sisterhood, and a past president of the Tidewater Chapter of Hadassah.
A former pre-school teacher and publisher, Mrs. Hainer is survived by her husband, Stanley; a brother, Stanley G. Barr Jr. of Norfolk; and a half-sister, Peggy Bailey of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. She is also survived by sons Jeffrey and Steven of Virginia Beach, David, of Midlothian, Va.; and a daughter, Cathy of Washington, D.C.; as well as four grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by Rabbi Lawrence A. Forman at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel. Graveside services will follow immediately afterward. The family will be at 4560 Bob Jones Drive, Virginia Beach, to receive visitors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Ohef Shalom Temple Archives Fund or the American Cancer Society.
