Chesapeake City Manager James W. Rein last week presented City

Council members with a list of programs they could cut in 1996,

including subsidies of $45,375 for the city's baseball associations

to help pay for umpires and field maintenance. A story Monday

incorrectly identified the subsidy as intended for one baseball

association.

Agustine Disoma, a patient from the Philippines, recently

received care from three local physicians through Operation Smile.

She is staying with Joe and Ludy Ubial, who live in Chesapeake. A

picture caption Tuesday accompanying a story about Disoma

misidentified the people she is staying with.

A map with a front-page story Tuesday on a proposal to close part

of Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington for security purposes

incorrectly showed the avenue passing south of the White House

rather than north.

The Roll Call graphic that appears Mondays in the Metro section,

detailing how members of Congress vote, contains some incorrect ZIP

codes. When addressing mail to the U.S. senators in Washington, use

the ZIP code 20510; when addressing mail to U.S. representatives,

use 20515.
