I am outraged by the statement of someone (who?) at the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control regarding the character and reputation of Theodore Bonk (``Hearing to determine whether Jewish Mother can keep liquor license,'' Business news, May 3).
Mr. Bonk, co-owner of the Jewish Mother, is an honorable citizen and a kind and caring gentleman. The poor, the sick and those organizations that assist the less fortunate are the recipients of his unlimited generosity. His support of the arts is well-known and appreciated.
