CRIME REPORT

DISTRICT A

Motor vehicle theft, 6000 block College Drive, May 2: blue, four- door '91 Honda Civic.

Petit larceny, 6400 block Townpoint Road, May 3: state license plates from a vehicle parked at a business.

Breaking and entering, 3800 block Pughsville Road, May 3: someone entered a house and ransacked a bedroom, placing a woman's underwear on a bed as if someone were lying there.

DISTRICT C

Forgery and uttering, 1200 block North Main St., April 29, someone purchased goods for $284.40 by forging another person's check.

Felonious assault, 600 block North Main St., April 30, several people attacked a man and his wife, throwing rocks. One assailant brandished a firearm and struck the man with a large stick, causing injuries.

Vandalism, 700 block North Main St., April 30, someone broke a windshield and slashed a tire of a vehicle.

Shooting from motor vehicle, 200 block St. James Ave., April 30, someone came to a household looking for someone. When told that person was not there, he got into his vehicle, pointed what appeared to be a shotgun at the residence and fired one time.

Breaking and entering, 700 block North Main St., May 1, someone gained entry to a business by prying open a side window. Once inside, the pool table was broken into, the coin box removed along with an undisclosed amount of currency. All of the cash was removed from the register. An attempt was made to break into the jukebox.

Breaking and entering (business), 300 block South Saratoga St., May 1, someone entered a business and removed a phone and electric heater. This is the second incident at this address in one week.

Breaking and entering (house), 100 block South Wellons St., May 1, someone gained entry to a residence by chiseling out the back door lock. Two wool coats valued at $350 each and three men's suits valued at $300 each were removed. Gold jewelry including a diamond ring and two rope bracelets valued at $300 were also taken.

Grand larceny, 700 block Battery Ave., May 2, a 27-inch man's 18-speed bicycle valued at $250 was removed from a residence yard.

Breaking and entering (house), 200 block Pine St., May 3, someone gained entry to an apartment by scaling a drain pipe on the south side of the residence and entering through an unlocked bathroom window. A super Nintendo control deck and three game cartridges were removed.

Grand larceny, 400 block Wellons St., May 3, someone removed a N.E. Arms

Petit larceny, 100 block Dill Road, April 28, sometime between April 19 and April 26, someone broke out the driver's side vent window and removed the Virginia state inspection stickers from an '87 Chevy truck.

Breaking and entering (shed), 200 block Cedar St., April 28, someone entered an unsecured utility shed and removed a 3.5 Briggs & Stratton push mower.

Breaking and entering (house), 500 block County St., April 30, someone entered a residence by unknown means and removed several items totaling $900 in value.

Breaking and entering (house), 100 South 11th St., April 30, someone kicked open the front door of a residence after being told not to come in. Nothing was removed.

Motor vehicle theft, 1200 block Sierra Drive, April 30, a dark brown, four-door, '86 Cadillac Sedan DeVille with chrome rims was removed from a residence.

Breaking and entering (house), 300 block Holiday St., May 1, someone pried open the front door of a house with a bar. Once inside, several items valued at $900 were removed.

Petit larceny, 200 block Cedar St., May 3, someone removed a Virginia state inspection sticker from a vehicle.

DISTRICT E

Breaking and entering (business), 2000 block Lake Cahoon Road, April 12, someone entered a business by forcing open the front door. Several desk drawers were found open.

Breaking and entering (house), 5000 Indian Trail Road, May 3, someone entered a residence and removed a semi-automatic .45-caliber Taurus handgun.

DISTRICT F

Breaking and entering (house), 1400 block Carolina Road, April 30, someone broke into a house through a rear door causing approximately $100 worth of damage. A bottle of medication, metoprolol 100 mg., was removed. by CNB
