Beverley Barr Hainer, 60, of Virginia Beach, died May 9, 1995, at her home Tuesday morning.
A lifelong resident of Virginia Beach, Mrs. Hainer was a board member of Ohef Sholom Temple, a past president of The Temple Sisterhood, and a past president of the Tidewater Chapter of Hadassah.
A former pre-school teacher and publisher, Mrs. Hainer is survived by her husband, Stanley; a brother, Stanley G. Barr Jr. of Norfolk; and a half-sister, Peggy Bailey of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. She is also survived by sons Jeffrey and Steven of Virginia Beach, David, of Midlothian, Va.; and a daughter, Cathy of Washington, D.C.; as well as four grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today by Rabbi Lawrence A. Forman at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel. Graveside services will follow immediately afterward. The family will be at 4560 Bob Jones Drive, Virginia Beach, to receive visitors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Ohef Sholom Temple Archives Fund or the American Cancer Society.
