Willis L. Brown, 72, a retired chief petty officer, died May 9, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Brown was born in Michigan. He retired from the Navy after 18 years and from civil service at Norfolk Naval Air Station. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Association Branch 60 and Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, Chapter 2.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ingram Brown; a son, Michael L. Brown of Norfolk; a sister, Joan McVay, and four brothers, Richard A. Brown, Jerry Brown, Tommy Brown and Jimmy Brown, all of California; and a granddaughter, Jennifer L. Brown of Florida.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by Chaplain Martin Bagay. A Fleet Reserve service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, where the family will remain to receive friends until 8 p.m. Military honors will be accorded at the graveside.
