Helen Sylvia Jones Barnhill Dator died Wednesday, May 10, 1995, in a local hospital.
She was born March 22, 1933, in Greensboro, N.C., daughter of the late Aubrey Jones and Sylvia Jones Underwood. She was a member of North Charleston Church of God and was a former manager of Western Sizzler Restaurant and an avid bowler.
Survivors include her husband, Marion T. Dator; sons, Jerry Dean Barnhill of Carnes Cross Roads, S.C., Ray Cobb of Durham, N.C., James Dator of North Charleston; a daughter, Mary Linda Spencer of Columbia, S.C.; a sister, Mattie Lee Briley of Virginia Beach, Va.; two brothers, Walter P. Cobb of Durham and Aubrey Jones of Suffolk, Va.; 16 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in North Charleston Church of God. Burial will be in Plantation Memorial Gardens. J. Henry Sturh Funeral Home, Greenridge Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
