Frederick Barrow Baines, 64, of the 2500 block of W. Bugle Drive, died May 9, 1995, in Portsmouth.
A native of Portsmouth, he was the widower of Martha Anne Baines. He was retired as a self-employed tile contractor. He was a member of Portsmouth Moose Lodge (NU)898 and was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea.
Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl D. Smith and Joyce A. Bomar, both of Chesapeake, and Laura B. Floyd of Portsmouth; three sons-in-law, Michael M. Smith, James H. Bomar and Martin D. Floyd; a brother, Lee D. Baines of Chesapeake; two sisters, Ethelyn Price and Margaret French, both of Portsmouth; and eight grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Ernie Myers. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today.
