Remedoes Velma Luspo Kelly, 67, of the 900 block of Craten Road, died May 5, 1995, in Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, Md. Mrs. Kelly died suddenly as a result of a fatal automobile accident in Gaithersburg, Md.
She was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of the late Vincent and Elsie Brown Luspo. She was a retired receptionist with Dr. J.O. Willie and a member of First Baptist Church Bute Street, Chesapeake Gardens-Mamie Homes Civic League and Chesapeake Gardens Floral Club. Mrs. Kelly was very active at First Baptist Church and among the affiliations were the Missionary Society, the Helpers Club and Hospitality Committee.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Kelly Jr. of the home; two daughters, Voncier M. Kelly of Gaithersburg, Md., and Remedeas Kelly-Weekes of Los Angeles, Calif.; grandchildren, Brittney L. Weekes and Kelly B. Weekes; son-in-law, Lee Randolph Weekes; and several cousins, all devoted. Among them are Elizabeth Robinson and Dorothy Southall.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church Bute Street, 418 E. Bute St., by the Rev. Robert G. Murray, DD. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. Arrangements by Riddick Funeral Service.
