Claude L. Bailey, 49, of the 800 block of Dorcus Rd., died May 11, 1995. He was formerly a heavy equipment operator with Jacobs Metal.
Mr. Bailey, a Baptist by faith, was born in Portsmouth, Va.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Bailey of Chesapeake; a son, Richard Bailey of Chesapeake; his mother, Grace R. White of Elizabeth City, N.C.; three sisters, Liz Taylor of Norfolk, Diana Smith and Romonia Hance of Harmony, N.C.; four brothers, Raleigh James Bailey Jr. of Virginia Beach, Bill Mann of Chesapeake, John White of Norfolk and Thomas White of Fayetteville, N.C.; and one grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at a later date. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will receive friends at the residence Saturday, May 13, 1995, starting at 1 p.m. Flowers may be sent to 826 B Dorcus Rd., Chesapeake, Va.
