A juvenile was arrested in Norfolk and an 18-year-old man was arrested in Tennessee on Thursday in connection with the February slaying of William Cady, 19.
Cady, of the 700 block of Marvin Ave., was one of two people shot about 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 18 in different sections of the 800 block of Marvin Ave.
Cady died at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
The other shooting victim, Thomas Burkett, who lived in the same block, was hospitalized.
Police spokesman Larry Hill said a 17-year-old from the 8000 block of Crescent Road was arrested and charged with murder, malicious wounding and two counts of using a gun while committing a felony.
The suspect, whose name was not released because of his age, was being held in the Norfolk Detention Center.
He will have a hearing this morning in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
The other suspect, Gabriel A. Hart, 18, of the 200 block of Burgoyne Ave., was arrested about 6 p.m. in McMannville, Tenn.
He is to appear in court there this morning for an initial hearing to determine if he will fight extradition.
A third suspect is being sought.
