Mary E. Outland, 95, a retired school teacher, died May 12, 1995, in Roanoke Valley Nursing Home in Rich Square.
Miss Outland was born in Northampton County, N.C., and was retired from the North Carolina Public Schools. She was a lifelong member of Cedar Grove Friends Meeting in Woodland.
Survivors include a niece, Sara O. Deloache and a nephew, Thomas Deloache, both of Burlington, N.C.; a great-niece; two great-nephews; and two great-great-nieces.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Cedar Grove Friends Meeting with George C. Parker officiating. Burial will be in CedarGrove Friends Cemetery. Garrett Funeral Home, Rich Square, is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Cedar Grove Friends Meeting, Route 1, Box 10, Woodland, N.C. 27897, or Woodland or Rich Square Volunteer Rescue Squads.
