Maude Bonney Sossamon, 80, of the 200 block of Scarlett Drive, died Friday, May 12, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mrs. Sossamon was born in Princess Anne County and was the daughter of the late Fletcher L. and Hettie Bonney and the widow of James L. Sossamon.
She had retired from Peoples Drug Store, Monticello Ave., Norfolk, where she had worked for over 20 years. She was a Methodist and member of Zulekia Court (NU)35, Ladies Oriental Shrine.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Gramlich and Eugene F. Gramlich, both of Chesapeake; two granddaughters, Noel Gramlich, Penny Goodin and her husband, Ed Goodin, all of Chesapeake; and two great-grandchildren, Kelsey Goodin and Heather Goodin, both of Chesapeake.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge. The Rev. Robert Hastings will officiate. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service and at other times at 516 Peren Ave., Chesapeake.
