WILLIAM F. ROSE JR.

William ``Bill'' Floyd Rose Jr., 70, died May 11, 1995, in his residence.

Mr. Rose was born in Pocahontas, Va. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and from civil service as an electrician and was a Navy veteran of World War II and Korea. He was a member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church and Fleet Reserve Asociation Branch (NU)99.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia M. Rose; two daughters, Katheryn E. and husband, Jack G. Bell Jr. of Virginia Beach and Patricia G. and husband, Rick Collins of Williamsburg; three sons, Floyd L. Rose and Nelson B. Rose, both of Chesapeake, and Larry K. Rose of Norfolk; two sisters, Cora Oubre of Port Arthur, Texas, and Thelma Boyd of Princeton, W.Va.; a brother, Raymond Rose of Princeton; and 11 grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Robert L. Crute. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. A Fleet Reserve service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to Thalia Lynn Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of William F. Rose Jr. Military honors will be accorded at the grave.
