MARY B. EATON

Mary B. ``Scrap'' Eaton, 92, of the 1900 block of King St., a retired basket weaver, died May 10, 1995, in her home.

Mrs. Eaton was born in Boston, Ga. and was the widow of Samuel Eaton. She was retired from Planters Manufacturing Company after 43 years and was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, the Senior Choir and Missionary Group.

Survivors include two daughters, Louise E. Bell of Chesapeake and Dorothy L. Bailey of Portsmouth; a son, Vernon L. Eaton of Portsmouth; a beloved sister, Victoria McClendon of Jacksonville, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 2111 High St., by the Rev. Roy Smith Sr. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will begin at noon Sunday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Monday.
