FOSTER LEWIS RUBLE

Foster Lewis Ruble, 59, of the 400 block of Tory Road, died May 11, 1995 in Portsmouth Naval Hospital.

Mr. Ruble was born in Parkersburg, W.Va. He was retired from the Navy as a Gunners Mate Master Chief after 26 1/2 years. He served aboard the USS Laffey, USS Fort Snelling, USS Shenandoah and the USS Piedmont.

He is survived by his loving wife, Delores Jean Ruble; a daughter, Brenda D. Cutting and her husband, Warren P. Cutting Jr. of Virginia Beach; a son, Larry W. Ruble and his wife, Rochelle J. Ruble of Virginia Beach; his mother, Ruth E. Ruble of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two sisters, Helen Knost of Erie, Pa., Ruth Ann Davis of Stanton, Ky.; four brothers, P. Lloyd Ruble of Parkersburg, W.Va., James E. Ruble of Belpre, Ohio, C.A. (Butch) Ruble of Mineral Wells, W.Va., David P. Ruble of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Derick P. Ruble, Amanda J. Ruble, Bailey D. Cutting, Shane M. Ruble, Blair E. Cutting. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil F. Ruble of Parkersburg, W.Va.

A memorial service was held at the Dam Neck Chapel by the Sea at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 1995 by the Rev. Warren Wilson.
