Susie Mears Richardson, 95, passed away May 12, 1995, at Elizabeth Adams Crump Manor in Glen Allen, Va. She is the widow of Edward C. Richardson. She is survived by daughters Virginia McCarthy White of Charlotte, N.C., and Susan Richardson Drumwright of Richmond, Va. She is survived as well by a son, Linwood Winder McCarthy of Beverly Hills, CA. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, 3 nieces and many great and great great nieces and nephews.
``Mama Sue,'' as she was lovingly known by her family and friends was born in Onancock, Va., but spent most of her life in Norfolk, Va. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church since the early 1900's and served as a president of the Ward Bible Class. She was a member of The Eastern Star and a devout Christian. Since 1987 she has resided in Richmond, Va., and Charlotte, N.C.
She will be remembered by all as a loving mother and grandmother who loved everyone she met and always pointed the way to the Lord.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 15, 1995, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, with the Rev. John Wiederholt officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to The Tuckahoe Rescue Squad, 1101 Horseten Rd., Richmond, Va. or to Epworth United Methodist Church, 124 W. Freemason St., Norfolk, Va.
