Heavy shoaling has put the Oregon Inlet, spanned by the Herbert C.
Bonner Bridge, in its worst condition since 1971, local fishermen
say. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will report on the inlet at 9
a.m. today in Manteo to the Dare County Board of Commissioners.
