HUMAN CRUELTY

We sit in the security and warmth of our homes, sometimes not realizing what is going on around us.

All of a sudden one day on a TV news flash, we hear of a bombing. Someone has taken it upon himself to decide the fate of innocent human beings. Men, women and children have lost their lives .

I cannot fathom the pain and agony these families are going through. I have to go on with my life as I always do, knowing that in another part of our country lives have been destroyed. Although I cannot help these victims of this horrible crime, financially or physically, I send all my prayers.

We were taught as children that humans are superior to all creatures, but in reality we are not. We are the only animals who hurt and kill for spite, money or just plain hatred. The animals kill for food and protection. So tell me, who is the superior creature on this planet?

Why is it the people of this so-called civilized country can come together only in times of tragedy, when we should be supportive and helpful at all times?
