I recently read with regret that Disney World Co. has ordered two cruise ships from an Italian shipyard.
American shipyards are trying to solicit business from different countries. The U.S. government has cut defense and thus the building of naval vessels. American shipyards are laying off workers left and right. Yet Disney has gone overseas to order the liners, knowing that when those ships are in operation, the majority of their passengers will be Americans.
